HomeCareDirect provides a national service which enables people who have personal budgets, given by the council or local PCT, to be in control their own support at home. The support is to National Essential Standards of Quality and Safety.

We work in true partnership with our clients and/or their family to keep people in control of who comes into their home to provide their support.

HCD is passionate about enabling our clients to have both control and choice to find their ideal carer(s), which could be a trusted friend, relative, neighbour or from someone they choose at interview.

Our clients are free to arrange their details of their day-to-day support to suit their own routines.

Thanks to the direct payments and personal budget system of funding from councils and some Primary Care Trusts, we are able to help people to stay in control of their personal care, while we take all the headaches away.

Once our clients have chosen their own personal carer(s), we do the rest – train people selected to meet the specific needs of our clients, pay them and act as their legal employer on behalf of the person who receives care.

We also provide 24-hour support for our clients and their personal carers.

HCD can be seen as "The Middle Way" between employing carers yourself and a care agency.
