WHAT DOES OUR SUPPORT BOX DO?
Each Support Box:
• records the arrival, departure and length of each care visit by the personal carer, when he or she inserts their ID card into the box
• makes an automatic alert/alarm call to HomeCareDirect to ensure the client remains safe at home, if a carer is late or fails to arrive for a visit
• connects to HomeCareDirect’s central computer overnight, every day, to update the care visit information
• provides a time sheet for each personal carer, to be used to calculate pay. Payment is made by HCD to personal carers on the 8th of the month for support provided for the previous calendar month after deducting PAYE and NI.
• receives and stores information about personal care visits for the week ahead.
• checks the training and experience of the personal carer meet the specific care needs of the client at every visit.
