With HCD your support-at-home is easy to manage and is in safe hands because you are part of the management team. We will:

• train the people you’ve chosen to be your personal carers to the Care Quality Commission’s Essential Care Standards

• take the paperwork, tax worries and legal hassle away from you by becoming your  personal carers legal employer on your behalf.

• provide you and your personal carers with 24-hour round-the-clock support. The hourly pay rate for your personal carer will be agreed between you and HCD at as high an hourly rate as possible, depending upon how much you have in your personal budget from the Council, PCT or other funding source.

Currently 30% of people across the UK receive a direct payment or personal budget for their social support at home.

By 2013, councils targets are for 100% of people who need support at home to receive personal budgets.
