Carers Count is a new service for any adult in Kirklees who gives, or has given, time and energy, without being paid, to look after an adult family member or friend who can not manage on their own.

At Carers Count they recognise that being a carer can impact on your day to day life significantly, including, emotionally (it can be both rewarding and isolating), financially (you may be unable to work)and physically (your own health can suffer as a result).

Carers Count Carers Week

As part of national Carers Week which is from 9th–15th June 2014 Carers Count are running the following events:

Monday 9th June – Ruddi’s retreat cafe, Linthwaite, Huddersfield

Wednesday 11th June – 11am–2pm Dewsbury town centre Market Place (next to Bright House)

Saturday 14th June – 10am–2pm Nelson Mandela Square (Behind Huddersfield Library) day will include, performances, tombola and Health & Blood Pressure Checks

Also Honley Law Practice have very kindly offered to donate some time during Carers Week to give a talk and answer any questions relating to matters concerning Wills, Probate and Power of attorney on Tuesday 10th June 10:30am–12:30pm at Carers Count, 8 Upperhead Row, Huddersfield HD1 2JN. Tea and coffee will be provided – just come along and listen!
