Crossroad Care Medway
Crossroads Care Medway provides carers some precious time for themselves by providing them with regular breaks from their caring responsibilities.
Their respite service are available to children and adults with critical and
substantial care needs and can be tailored to meet individual needs. This can
include short term care following hospital discharge up to and including
palliative end of life care.
Alongside their respite service they operate a 24/7, 365 days a year Dementia
Support service in conjunction with Medway Community Healthcare. They also offer
short breaks under the Medway Short Breaks programme to families of children

They introduced COG’s to the Medway Towns, COG’s is a club for Alzheimer’s and
Dementia Sufferers designed by Jackie Tuppen Dementia UK/Admiral Nurses.
They are hoping eventually to expand the clubs to other parts of the Medway towns such
as the Grain peninsula funds permitting.
