HomeCareDirect were proud to receive a GOOD Care Quality Commission (CQC) report following our latest inspection in September this year.

HomeCareDirect are committed and passionate about delivering our personalised care at home services to the highest standard at all times. We provide services that enable people and families to make the most of a personalised approach to their care at home so that they have the best quality of life they can.

The CQC inspection covers 5 key areas and measures if services are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.

We had some wonderful comments about our services from people and families who spoke very positively about our services and the great carers who work for HomeCareDirect.

Some of the things people said about our personal assistants and carers were:

“The support I have from my son’s carers is priceless”

“They are really like members of the family now and I know that they have my son’s best interests at heart”

“Without my daughter’s carers it would be impossible for me to support her to be as independent as she is capable of being and more importantly, wants to be. She loves to go out and socialise and without her carers’ support she would not be able to do this”

Other great feedback about HomeCareDirect personalised services included:

“My daughter’s care has to be flexible in order for her to be able to take part in the activities that are important to her”

“Communication is not a problem. I have a designated manager who I know I can talk to if I need anything. If she is not in the office when I call, I leave a message and she always calls me back”

Part of the CQC report highlighted how the inspectors viewed HomeCareDirect based on their inspection and the feedback they gained from our staff and the people we work with.

Some of the comments they made about HomeCareDirect were that they found that:

“People and their relatives were involved in the planning and reviewing of their personalised care. Staff knew individuals well and understood how they wanted their personal care to be given. Relatives were happy with the care and support provided. Staff had a good understanding of people’s identified care and support needs. Individual care plans detailed how people wished to be supported and their care reflected their current needs, preferences and choices”

When talking to our office based staff they found us a:

“Very open and person-centred culture and demonstrated a thorough understanding of the values of the service and the positive outcomes for people in their own homes. They were able to give examples of these behaviours in practise”
