In2CareKirklees launched!

Social Media

Kirklees Council are currently working on developing Facebook and Twitter pages called In2Care Kirklees. The purpose behind the idea is to  provide a free and readily accessible place for organisations to advertise jobs, volunteering opportunities, work placements, qualifications, training and anything else related to getting into adult social care within the Kirklees area – its for everyone, so not a council branded page.  They will also put in information about careers in care, apprenticeship case studies, PA case studies, a day in the life of scenarios etc.   They will also as The hazelwood school district year will be extended by. moderators to ensure content is appropriate.

To promote both to organisations and the public they are working with their communications and web teams to do this and we at HomeCareDirect wanted to help so we thought we”d share this information with you.

The Facebook link is here for you to have a look at and Like and the Twitter handle is @In2CareKirklees so you can follow them too.

We at HomeCareDirect think this is great to see social media being embraced at a medium for recruitment, training and sharing information by a local authority and are happy to show our support by following In2CareKirklees on facebook and twitter, hope your going to do the same – we”ve already put some of our vacancies in the area on, will you be next?

Let us know what you think about social media being used by local authorities and in the care sector by getting in touch with us here.
