National Voices have launched the conversation about the Principles of Care and Support Planning.

National Voices

The Principles seek to create a common understanding of what care and support planning is and how it works.  All people with long term conditions and disabilities should know who will support them and the steps they themselves can take to live and stay as well as possible.  Effective care and support planning is needed to make this a reality.

They have been working with a wide range of individuals and organisations to shape the Principles, and you can see some of the people who have contributed to the work so far here – HomeCareDirect are pleased to say we’ve been closely involved with the creation of this guide and you can see a quote from us supporting the campaign for higher quality support planning here.

National Voices are now inviting as many people as possible to share their views on the draft resource by joining the conversation on the Principles of Care and Support Planning online network.   If you haven’t already received an invitation to join the network, just email them, and they’ll send you one.

They will also be spreading the word on Twitter (@NVTweeting) where you can share your views using #jointheconversation to help raise awareness of the Principles.

As National Voices say ‘Let’s get talking!’ Here at HomeCareDirect we’re proud to be part of this significant national project and to be a part of the ‘system’ for change. We’d love to hear your thoughts about this so please get in touch with us here.
