Professionals can fund their professional skills through the state funded personal budgets of their clients following an ‘Assessed Need’.

Social workers, district nurses, case management companies, occupational therapists, physio-therapists, other care professionals and brokers can look to work in partnership with HCD to support their clients at home to National Essential Standards of Quality and Safety. Professional skills can be funded out of client's personal budgets to meet the needs of clients with their support at home.
HCD can be seen as ‘The Middle Way’ – working to the full principles of personalisation yet within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Essential Care Standard.
