Job Description

THE COMPANY:

HomeCareDirect is a national internet based framework with a person centred approach which enables people with up to the most complex of needs to be supported at home to Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. Such clients are in receipt of Direct Payments, Personal Health Budgets or independently funded.

The company is starting to work nationally, in independent partnership, with professional and specialist services such as Quality of Life Ambassadors, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Specialist Trainers, Charities and Voluntary Groups and others to make it possible for people with up to the most complex of needs to be supported at home with an enhanced quality of life. Such independent partnership services can register on the HomeCareDirect search engine website : the At Home Alliance. This development is in response to the requirements from NHS England to increase the number of people nationally to be on a personal Health Budget for their support at home by an additional 50,000 people by 2020.  

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

This is an office based role to promote, take enquiries from and provide registration support for registration on the At Home Alliance website, for professionals and specialist services around England.

The role involves supporting the initial registration request and then processing the request by checking against HomeCareDirect registration standards and detailed requirements relevant to each individual profession and service.

Following a request for registration being accepted by HomeCareDirect, the role involves confirming the successful registration to the applicant and then registering the applicant and their service live onto the At Home Alliance website.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

This is a role dealing with a wide range of professionals and requires experience in handling personal contacts at a professional level. Past experience at this level will be valued by the company more than any specific qualifications.

Specific experience in the following areas will be valued : –

  • Knowledge of the changing world of support at home
  • Have excellent typing and general computer skills
  • Social Media and website expereince would be an advantage.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Monitor all on-line requests for registration on the At Home Alliance website.

  • Provide an initial response to such registration requests to a timescale set by the company.
  • Provide information to enquirers about the principles of the HomeCareDirect At Home Alliance on how it works and on the benefits to registered services.
  • Support the initial registration request by processing the application and request any further information required.
  • Undertake verification of applicant’s documents and information provided to confirm compliance with registration standards for each individual profession or service set by HomeCareDirect.
  • Confirm or otherwise the successful registration to the applicant.
  • Register the applicant and their service live onto the At Home Alliance website.
  • Supported by the Sales Director, make contact with local and national health professional registration bodies, specialist services, charities and voluntary groups to make such diverse organisations aware of the At Home Alliance.
  • Supported by the Sales Director seek to meet monthly services registration targets set by the company and agreed from time to time.  
  • Support other associated departments within HomeCareDirect to provide mutual support in emergencies and holiday situations and in particular with the communications and marketing department, the sales department and the client enquiry office.
  • Generate and produce reports on registration applications and registration confirmation reports to directors.
  • Knowledge of the changing world of support at home
  • Have excellent typing and general computer skills

PAY RATE:

This is a salaried position with bonus payments on numbers of services registered.

Salary £18,700 / yr depending upon experience.

HOURS OF WORK:

Office hours being 9am to 5pm – Monday to Friday with 30 minutes lunch.
