Here at HomeCareDirect we are going to be celebrating World Autism Awareness Week from 27th March to 2nd April.

World Autism Awareness Week (WAAW) is all about doing something to stand out for autism! This week, you can raise funds to support people with autism to live the lives they choose, spread the word about autism, and have a fantastic time while you do it! The money you raise will make a huge difference. By standing out and raising funds, you could help The National Autistic Society deliver vital services to support over 700,000 people with autism and their families across the UK.

We are doing a lot of exciting things to raise money for this great cause, they include:

Wearing our support –  We’re asking everyone to make a donation and wear something pink or purple at the office on 30th March

As we’re feeling  especially daring we are also taking part in Onesie Wednesday™ on 1st April to raise even more money for The National Autistic Society

A sponsored 10 mile walk on Saturday 28th March

Cake sale and coffee shop in the office

Name the teddy competition

Name the baby competition – we’ll be bringing in baby pictures of ourselves and  getting donations for people to guess who’s who from their baby pictures

These should be great fun ways to raise awareness and stand out for autism and raise money for the The National Autistic Society. We’d love to hear if you are doing anything for World Autism Awareness Week so please get in touch with us and let us know what your up to.

We’ll share pictures of World Autism Awareness Week on our blog here and also on Twitter and Facebook and we’ll let you know how much we raise for The National Autistic Society.
