Society for the Blind of Dewsbury Batley District
The Society for the Blind of Dewsbury, Batley and District is a local independent charity for visually impaired people who live in North Kirklees. They provide a range of interesting and stimulating activities based in a safe and caring environment at its centre in Batley.
This includes 11 weekly activity groups and a large number of outings, theatre trips and holidays. Activities at the centre include craft, computer classes, day care and social centre.
This aids the rehabilitation process, provides social inclusion and a chance to mix with others in a similar situation.
