The name Buckinghamshire in origin means the district of Bucca’s home. Bucca’s home refers to Buckingham in the north of the county, and is named after an Anglo-Saxon landowner. The county has been so named since about the 12th century.

Through the options menu on the Buckingham County Council’s website you will be able to find detailed information on social care including care for adults, care at home, personal budgets, direct payments and children and families.  Here at HomeCareDirect we have been working in the area for many years and would be happy to offer you any help you need in arranging your own care at home.
