I joined HomeCareDirect in August 2021 as the HR Advisor to support the head office staff. My role as the HR advisor is important for the day-to-day functioning of the HR department, taking an advisory role on best practices for recruitment and retention of staff as well as general HR services. My main role is to advise both employers and clients on the recruitment of new staff and retention of existing employees. I will generally be involved in helping hiring for the company, writing job descriptions and contracts, as well as researching performance evaluation methods and designing company policies.

 

I have over 30 years of experience working within HR from my time within the Royal Air Force, a qualified Manager and Trainer with a Diploma Level 5 in Human Resource Management. The best thing about working in HR is making a difference to someone’s experience at work. Whether that be directly, through conversations with someone about an issue that’s important to them, or through strategic guidance and support to Managers about the best way to reward, develop and retain their employees.

 

Outside of work I enjoy walking my dog with my young son.
