Here at HomeCareDirect we had great fun celebrating World Autism Awareness Week from 27th March to 2nd April and managed to raise £788.00 for this great cause!

World Autism Awareness Week (WAAW) is all about doing something to stand out for autism! This week, you can raise funds to support people with autism to live the lives they choose, spread the word about autism, and have a fantastic time while you do it! The money you raise will make a huge difference. By standing out and raising funds, you could help The National Autistic Society deliver vital services to support over 700,000 people with autism and their families across the UK.

We did a lot of exciting things to raise money for this great cause, they included:

  1. A sponsored 10 mile walk on Saturday 28th March, check out the photo below for our great walkers – this raised £457.00!

  2. Wearing our support – wearing something pink or purple at the office on 30th March – this raised £13.00!

  3. Onesie Wednesday™ on 1st April to raise even more money for The National Autistic Society – this raised £9.00!

  4. Cake sale and coffee shop in the office – this raised £177.50!

  5. Raffle – this raised £64.00!

  6. Name the teddy competition – this raised £12.00!

  7. Company Donation from Managing Director Roger Adams – £50.00!

  8. Name the baby competition – by bringing in baby pictures of ourselves and  getting donations for people to guess who’s who from their baby pictures – this raised £5.50!

This gave us an amazing total of £788.00 that we have raised for the The National Autistic Society.
